Open access policy
Revista Abierta is an open-access publication and is freely available to the public and users through its website: https://revistaabierta.monicaherrera.edu.sv/index.php/abierta/index as well as through the various databases, directories, and repositories in which it is included.
The journal adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) declaration, which allows users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, harvest them for indexing, transmit them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from accessing the Internet itself, all with the goal of contributing to the global exchange of knowledge.
Since Issue 17 (2023), Revista Abierta operates under the international Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license. This license allows authors and third parties to:
- Share: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the material.
These actions may be performed under the following conditions:
- Attribution: You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in a way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
- Non-Commercial Use: You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
- ShareAlike: If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
