Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission is original and unpublished. Declaration of Originality.
- The submission has not been simultaneously submitted to another journal or book (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor).
- If the work is derived from a master or docotal thesis, this information must be included in the Comments to the Editor.
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc, .docx).
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Author Guidelines available on this page.
- Whenever possible, URLs for references are provided.
- The text uses Arial, 11 pt, 1½ line spacing, and is fully justified. Page margins are 2.5 cm on all sides. Paper size is A4. Use italics instead of underlining (except for URLs), and all illustrations, figures, and tables should be placed in their appropriate positions within the text, rather than at the end. Only a single line break should separate paragraphs. Decorative frames, bullet points, headers, or footers must not be used.
- Include the article title, an abstract that explains the article’s objective, methodology, and main findings (150–200 words); both in Spanish and English. Additionally, provide five keywords in Spanish and English.
- Authors must provide their full names, institutional affiliation, research areas, email, and ORCID identifier in a supplementary file. If the manuscript has multiple authors, indicate the type(s) of contribution for each according to the CRediT taxonomy: https://casrai.org/credit/
- Remove all information that could reveal authorship within the article or document properties to allow for double-blind peer review.
- Footnotes should be numbered consecutively and used only for brief comments or clarifications that cannot be integrated into the text.
- In-text citations must follow APA Style (7th edition), and the reference list should appear at the end of the article in alphabetical order, also in APA Style (7th edition).
- Attach the Copyright Declaration, signed by each author.

Authors who publish in Revista Abierta will accept the following conditions:
Revista Abierta respects the moral right of the authors, as well as the ownership of the patrimonial right, which will be transferred to the Mónica Herrera School for its dissemination in open access.
Revista Abierta does not charge authors for submitting and processing articles for publication.
Authors may enter into other independent and additional contractual agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the version of the article published in Revista Abierta, such as: a repository. As long as it is indicated that the work was published in an original way and for the first time in Open Magazine.
Privacy Statement
Names, email addresses, and other data entered into the Revista Abierta portal or sent via email will be used exclusively for editorial purposes and will not be provided to third parties for any other purpose.
